Hyundai 2024 Model Year Changes Overview

Hyundai 2024 Model Year Changes Overview

Some all-new Hyundai models are coming soon to your Hyundai dealer. Let’s take a look at some of the biggest changes to this lineup.

Several models have been refreshed or redesigned for 2024, including the Kona, Santa Fe, Elantra, and Sonata. Some of the other carry-over models, such as the Tucson, Palisade, Santa Cruz, and Ioniq 5, have been outfitted with extra features and/or new trims.

2024 Hyundai Kona and Kona EV

The all-new Kona and Kona EV have been fully redesigned with new color options, larger exterior and interior dimensions, and high-tech driver aids. LED projector headlights are standard, and seamless horizon running lights are available. Three different wheel sizes are available for the redesigned Kona. The two powertrains include a 2.0-liter Atkinson Cycle with an intelligent variable transmission and a 1.6T-GDI paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

2024 Santa Cruz Gains XRT Trim

The Hyundai Santa Cruz will be offered for the first time with the XRT trim. The Santa Cruz has gained a lot of attention in the last few years for its exceptional driving experience and versatile practicality, but the addition of the XRT trim is aimed at those who want something even more adventurous. The list of features on the XRT builds on the SEL trim with the Activity Package and includes standard AWD, smart cruise control, Hyundai digital key, XRT-exclusive badging, wide fender flairs, bed rails, and side steps.

Stunning 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Redesign

Probably the biggest change in the Hyundai model lineup is the stunning redesign of the Santa Fe. Once a pretty average compact midsize SUV, the Santa Fe has been transformed into a three-row SUV with striking visuals. On the outside, the Santa Fe now wears a boxy, angular look similar to a Land Rover model or the discontinued Ford Flex. Inside, the cabin has been massively upgraded with more quality materials and a more logical layout. Three rows of seating are standard, but you can opt for second-row captain’s chairs, which reduces the max seating from seven passengers to six.

2024 Elantra and Sonata Refreshes

Hyundai’s compact sedan and midsize sedan options are also being refreshed for 2024. The Elantra has been restyled with several intelligent innovations. The front end now has a sharper look with updated exterior lighting and new wheels. Several new color choices are also available. A list of safety features, including rear side-impact airbags, are now standard across the Elantra range.

On the Sonata end, the rear fascia has been redesigned, and the front running lights have been repositioned. But the real story is the interior updates. As with the new Santa Fe, the new Sonata gets two 12.3-inch touchscreens on a single display mount and some upgraded materials. AWD is now an option on Sonata models with the base 2.5-liter engine.

Some of these big changes may have already made it to your Hyundai dealer, but others, like the Santa Fe, won’t be available yet for another month or so.
