Ram 1500: Dressed Up to Impress

Mopar has been the custom parts builder for the FCA models for several years and recently the opportunity to show off what it can do when it’s time to dress up one of the belles of the FCA lineup for the ball. The Chicago Auto Show is a place where you can see a ton of amazing upgrades and what can happen to a vehicle when Mopar gets its hands on it. The vehicle that was chosen for the dressing up for the ball in order to show off in Chicago was the new 2019 Ram 1500 which was recently shown off in Detroit.

The new Ram 1500 made its way to Chicago with more than 200 Mopar parts added to it which gave it the upgraded and more impressive look of a truck that’s built to take on everything you can imagine. If you’ve been looking for the new Ram 1500 to be the truck you want to drive, you’ll be amazed by what Mopar did, even though you might not want or need all 200 upgrades they added. Still, it’s good to dream and visualize what you could do with the amazing improvements that were put on this already amazing truck.

How was the Ram 1500 upgraded by Mopar?

The team started with the Big Horn Sport 4×4 model which was dressed up in Flame Red paint. Mopar added a lift of nearly two inches which made room for the 35-inch tires that were centered by 18-inch six-lug Beadlock rims to give this truck more rugged and off-road abilities. Wheel flares were added to help protect the body of the truck while off-roading and cast-aluminum running boards make getting in and out of this truck much easier for you, especially considering it’s lifted up higher than before.

A Ram Rack was added to allow the ability to carry cargo such as kayaks, canoes, and other items. Another item added to the cargo area is an articulating arm that swings down to allow you an easier way to get up and in the bed of this truck. Under the hood, a special cold-air intake has been added to allow cool, fresh, air to make its way in the engine. The cat-back exhaust system that was put on makes this truck sound amazing as it drives on the road and looks great at the same time with the five-inch tips.

Inside the cabin of this truck, a Katzkin leather upholstery was added to give this truck the comfort you want. Brushed aluminum sill trim has been added while heavy duty floor mats will allow this truck to be protected from the dirt you may track inside when you drive. With more than 200 aftermarket parts that were added by this Mopar division, the Ram 1500 shows it can truly be dressed up to show off anywhere it needs to go. With these additions, this truck was certainly ready to head out on the trails with a pair of boats or boards that you can ride and experience on the waves out in the wilderness.
