Cadillac Marks 125 Years With a Rare Escalade-V
Cadillac has been building cars since 1902, and it picked a big gift for its 125th birthday. It’s a 682-horsepower supercharged Escalade-V with carbon fiber trim, blue details, and a $239,000 starting price. Only 252 will be built, so this full-size SUV will be about as rare as Escalades get.
- Cadillac will build just 252 examples of the 2027 Escalade-V 125th Anniversary Collector Series, and they’ll be sold in the U.S. and Canada.
- Pricing starts at $239,000. That’s about $70,000 more than a regular Escalade-V and makes it the most expensive factory Escalade yet.
- The supercharged V-8 carries over with no announced power increase. The upgrades are carbon fiber trim, forged 24-inch wheels, and Santorini Blue cabin accents.
A Birthday 125 Years in the Making
Cadillac’s story began in August 1902. Its first cars were a pair of horseless carriages powered by 10-horsepower single-cylinder engines. Today’s Escalade-V makes 682 horsepower.
Cadillac picked a fitting place to show off the new SUV. It was revealed in Austin, Texas, just days before the 2026 United States Grand Prix. That race would be only the second time the Cadillac Formula 1 team raced on home soil.
This Escalade is also part of a bigger program. It’s the second vehicle in Cadillac’s Collector Series, after the CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series, which was limited to just 26 cars. It’s the first Escalade to get the Collector Series treatment. Because it marks the 125th anniversary, it may also be the first of several birthday specials from Cadillac.
The Supercharged V-8 Carries Over
The heart of this Escalade is the same supercharged V-8 found in the regular Escalade-V. Cadillac hasn’t announced any extra power for the anniversary model, so you get the same 682 horsepower as the standard truck.
So what does the extra money buy? Mostly rarity and detail work. The regular Escalade-V starts at $169,300, and the Collector Series starts at $239,000. That gap of about $70,000 pays for low production numbers, special trim, and a set of anniversary touches you won’t find on any other Escalade.
Even the engine bay gets dressed up. Pop the hood and you’ll find a carbon fiber engine cover sitting on top of the V-8.
Carbon Fiber Outside, Santorini Blue Inside
Paint choices are kept simple. Buyers can pick Midnight Stone Frost, which is exclusive to this edition, or Vibrant White Tricoat. Neither color is flashy, and the only real splash outside comes from the blue brake calipers.
The rest of the exterior leans on carbon fiber. You’ll find it on the grille surround, the lower rear fascia, and the mirror caps. The SUV rides on forged 24-inch wheels in dark gray with “Cadillac” script on them. It’s a dark, serious look that fits the V-Series attitude.
The fun starts as soon as you open the doors. “V8 Heritage” puddle lamps light up the ground, and model-specific illuminated sills greet you on the way in. The cabin uses a two-tone black-and-gray theme with Santorini Blue stitching and matching Santorini Blue seatbelts. Those blue belts are a small detail, but they give the interior real personality.
Cadillac added more reminders that this one is special. The steering wheel wears an anniversary badge, and there’s a separate Collector Series badge too. Model-specific floor mats are fitted, and even the key fob is blue.
Getting in Line for One of 252 Builds
Production is capped at 252 units, with VINs numbered between 1902 and 2027, a nod to the founding year and the model year. Cadillac is selling these SUVs in both the U.S. and Canada, and order books are already open. With so few coming, anyone serious about owning one shouldn’t wait long.
Is it worth $70,000 more than a regular Escalade-V? That depends on what you value. If you just want the most powerful Escalade, the standard V-Series already has the same supercharged V-8. If you care about rarity, history, and a cabin full of anniversary details, this Collector Series is the one to get. It’s a loud, proud way for Cadillac to celebrate 125 years, and the few people who park one in their garage will own a real piece of the brand’s story.
