If you love your Silverado pickup truck but want to see what all the fuss is about with an EV, you’re going to love the 2024 all-electric Silverado.
There’s no need to shop around for used trucks when you can find a new EV truck on Chevy dealership lots. Ready to see what it can do? Keep reading.
The Silverado EV WT: An Everyday Work Partner
The first Silverado EV to make its way to dealerships will be the WT. This faithful work truck is meant for fleet and commercial customers. It doesn’t have all the glitz and glamour you’ll find with the upcoming RST, but it is ready to go to work with 510 horsepower and the ability to tow up to 10, 000 pounds. Need power on the job? You’ll get it with this Silverado. It has seven outlets with 7.2 kW of offboard power, which you can increase to 10 outlets and 10.2 kW of power if you want.
Get Ready for the Silverado EV First Edition RST
Chevy just announced that the 2024 Silverado EV First Edition RST is now in production. While the WT has the basics needed for the job site, the RST is flashing and fun. It will have electric motors that generate up to 754 horsepower and over 785 pounds of torque. But the best part of the powertrain is the Wide Open Watts feature on the First Edition RST. Activate this, and you can shoot from zero to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds.
Yes, the Silverado EV Can Do That
The Silverado EV RST is not just about horsepower and torque; it is ready to tackle all kinds of terrain. It comes with four-wheel steering and an automatic adaptive suspension to help you make the most of any road or off-road conditions. With up to a 450-mile range on a full battery, you can travel almost anywhere without having to worry about charging. When it is time to charge up, the standard DC fast charging helps to get you back on the road faster.
Wow, That’s A Fully Loaded Truck
The RST will come loaded with technology and convenience features, starting with a 17-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system and an 11-inch configurable driver information display. A multi-color head-up display will project important information right onto the windshield within the driver’s line of sight so their eyes can stay on the road where they belong.
Look! No Hands!
One feature that you won’t find in used trucks is Super Cruise. This hands-free driving technology is the first truly hands-free driving system, and with the Silverado, you can use it even when hauling a trailer. Drivers can activate Super Cruise on over 400,000 miles of roads, and as long as they pay attention to the road, their Silverado EV will accelerate, brake, and even change lanes for them.
