Over the past couple of years, Buick has grown in popularity among female shoppers. So much so the brand has dedicated its latest marketing campaign, “See Her Greatness,” to highlighting and empowering female athletes.
As the automaker initiates its mid-cycle updates for its current Crossover offering, the Buick Encore GX, there are intuitively designed and practical features incorporated for a female audience specifically. At first glance, it’s quite easy to pick up on this more feminine design aesthetic by the Encore GX’s body style. Stepping into the cabin, convenient tech and safety features dominate drive and handling so that you feel comfortable and in control when you are on the road.
Updated Body Style
This updated body style includes a reimagined hood, grilled, and fascia. Sharp corners are replaced with smooth curves and an overall feminine appeal. The redesigned LED front and rear lights, along with a reimagined Buick logo design, distinguish this newer Encore GX model. Meanwhile, on the front, drivers will still find the automaker’s long-standing Buick badge right above the muted grill.
Being a subcompact crossover, the GX automatically appeals to drivers who want a smaller vehicle but need space for daily errands. The Buick Encore GX answers this call with a slim body style that is commanding yet curvy. With the end of the smaller Encore, the GX will be the automaker’s smallest SUV available.
Encore GX Offers a Fine Balance Between Mainstream and Luxury Features
The appeal to female drivers is largely thanks to the Encore GX’s ability to balance both mainstream aesthetics and luxury highlights. The Encore GX will be available in three trims, including the GX Preferred, GX Sports Touring, and GX Avenir. Throughout the trims, you’ll find elements of enhanced comfort, including tech offerings chock full of tech-driven safety features. Quiet tuning technology and active noise cancellation also enhance your experience when you’re behind the wheel. The quiet cabin exudes an air of comfort synonymous with other luxury models.
Other great touches of luxury include heated seats and a steering wheel along with a technology package complete with a 360° camera, wireless charging, hands-free tailgate operation, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.
Dependable Power
The Encore GX brings with it two engine options. The base model is powered by a 1.2 L turbocharged 3-cylinder engine that delivers 137 horsepower, while the 1.3 L turbocharged 3-cylinder engine bumps up the horsepower to 155. Fuel efficiency is also quite superb, with an EPA estimate of 39 MPG in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.
Buick Encore GX Sets the Tone For Its Target Audience
As Buick continues to develop and reimagine its vehicle offerings, it’s kept the needs of its female audiences in mind. Stepping away from boxy and aggressive styling options, Buick is committed to representing its growing base of female drivers in the best way possible.
