The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Kicks Electric Performance Up a Notch

The new Hyundai Ioniq 5 N has been spied making its test-driving rounds, and drivers are getting excited about what’s coming. Hyundai isn’t revealing much yet: it was covered almost from head to toe, but the clock is ticking. It won’t be long before its official launch. The Exterior Look

Spy shots of the new Ioniq 5 N show that it will have a much wider stance than the regular Ioniq 5, with wider front and rear axles and 21-inch wheels. The front wheels are black with silver brake calipers, and the rear wheels have red brake calipers. The front and rear bumpers appear lower and wider, and it sits lower to the ground.

Around the back, a large rear spoiler attaches to the roof, while the taillights look the same as the ones on the regular Ioniq 5. The N version of the Ioniq 5 will also distinguish itself from the regular version with extended side skirts.

Impressive Power, but the Ioniq 5 N is All About the Fun

The Ioniq 5 N will not only be about power; it will be about having fun behind the wheel. We can expect to see somewhere between 580 horsepower and 620 horsepower when all is said and done. It will have the same motor and battery as the Kia EV6 GT, and with this setup, acceleration from zero to 60 will be in the 3.5-second range.

The performance-based Ioniq N will even have a Drift mode. When the driver engages this mode, power will be routed to the rear wheels so they can slide, just like drifting in a gas-powered performance car. In addition to this driving mode, it will have regenerative braking just like the standard model, but it will also gain stronger friction brakes.

Make sure to head to a Hyundai dealer near you in late 2023 or early 2024 and get a good look at this new Ioniq. The N performance model promises to offer more than just straight-line speed; it will be more fun than ever behind the wheel.

N Performance Electrified

Hyundai has been testing out all kinds of technology to use in the upcoming Ioniq 5 N. One of these is N Sound+, which generates sound from the exterior and interior speakers to provide a more dynamic driving feel. N e-shift adds to the electric driving experience by creating the vibration and shifting feel of a traditional transmission and integrating it with N Sound+.

The Wait for the Ioniq 5 N is Almost Over

The wait for the debut of the Ioniq 5 N is almost over. It should arrive within the next few months and go on sale in 2023. Drivers in the United States might have to wait a little longer to see the Ioniq 5 N up close and personal, though. It might not arrive in the states in 2023. If not, it should arrive on Hyundai dealer lots sometime in early 2024.
