Ram offers a fitting tribute to first responders with the new 2023 Ram 1500 Built to Serve EMS Edition which is the next in a series of special edition trucks.
The people that sign up to run toward danger while the rest of us are running away from it deserve our respect. Ram already gave us a military-themed version of this truck, but now they offer a special model with first responders in mind. Police, paramedics, and firefighters all run toward danger and put their lives on the line to keep our world safe and secure. This is just a small way to pay tribute to these brave men and women.
This New Ram Special Model is Geared Toward Medical First Responders
This new limited-edition Ram 1500 truck is dedicated to Emergency Medical Service (EMS) workers and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) that are at the ready to provide necessary life-saving services during tragedy, trauma, and disasters. Many people owe these first responders their lives and have been saved because these professionals are on the scene quickly and understand how to stay calm and provide necessary care fast enough to be the difference between life and death for many people.
Eight Different Versions of this Theme are Planned
The EMS edition of the 2023 Ram 1500 Built to Serve is the seventh model in the series of eight that will be part of the tributes made by Ram. The first five honored each brand of the U.S. Armed Forces, giving us one for the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Marines. The sixth model was specifically made to honor firefighters. Now we have a seventh model in the series of eight, and it’s made to pay tribute to emergency medical professionals as the EMS edition, which offers a unique look.
Every Special Edition Ram Truck has a Special Color Scheme
This, the seventh in a series of eight Built to Serve trucks, comes in special colors that make sense for EMS workers. This truck, like all of the models in this series, includes several black exterior items with the bumpers, grille, light bezels, badges, side steps, and exhaust tips all finished in black. The new EMS edition model is offered in Hydro Blue and Bright White. The only model left is the police edition, which will come later. Because this EMS edition model is offered in blue and white, it makes us wonder what color the new police edition will wear. Police officers are often considered the “men and women in blue,” but that blue is much darker than the Hydro Blue color.
What Colors Have Been Offered?
Every version of the Ram 1500 Built to Serve pickup truck has been offered in different colors. The Army edition gave owners the choice of Gator and Diamond Black Crystal; the Navy model was offered in Ceramic Gray and Patriot Blue, while the Air Force model came in Anvil and Billet Silver Metallic. The Marine Corps version of the Built to Serve was available in Tank and Flame Red, while the Coast Guard model comes in Spitfire and Bright White. Finally, the firefighter version of this special pickup truck can be had in Redline and Diamond Black.
These Trucks are Badged Appropriately
Ram does an amazing job of showing pride and patriotism in the trucks we see. These new Built to Serve special models feature American flag decals on the bedside with Bult to Serve written underneath. The EMS edition rides on 20-inch aluminum wheels finished in Technical Gray, which is a color Ram uses only for these special edition pickup trucks.
Going Inside the EMS Ram 1500
The EMS Edition of the Ram 1500 Built to Serve truck features Sport seats covered in performance cloth and premium vinyl with blue accent stitching. The cabin also features Black Onyx chrome interior trim to give this truck a special appearance. Across the dashboard, you can see the Built to Serve badging, reminding you this truck is a tribute model to those that serve use every day. The floor of the cabin features all-weather floor mats to keep the mess under control and make this truck easy to use when you want to go out for a bit of an adventure.
Which Trim is Used for this Special Truck?
The 2023 Ram 1500 that serves as the trim for the EMS edition of this truck is the Big Horn/Lone Star model. This truck is a Crew Cab pickup truck with the option of either the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine or the 5.7-liter Hemi V8. Both of these engines offer the option of the eTorque system, giving owners a little more power when they take off from a stop. This is an attractive truck that brings the power and drives desired when out on the road or while tackling a trail.
Can You Take this Truck on the Trails?
Yes, the Ram 1500 Built to Serve trucks are made to be capable and honor those that serve appropriately. The EMS version offers you the off-road qualities you want with all-terrain tires, an electronic-locking rear axle, hill-descent control, skid plates, tow hooks, and shocks made to handle the tough challenges offered out in the wilderness. You can take this truck on a fishing trip, camping, or to the trailhead before you begin to climb the rock faces that you enjoy. This is a truck made for adventure while offering the right features to honor the EMS and EMTs that save lives every day.
