More Teasers for the New Hyundai Veloster

We already know the new Hyundai Veloster will make its way to the Detroit Auto Show next week to give us the full look and details about the car. Even though this is a car we’ve seen out on the roads without any of the camouflage on it that was used in the past, the Hyundai team continues to give us a look at some teaser images of what this car will be. One thing we’ve seen from the most recent release is the fact that it will borrow some design elements from the newest i30 model.

The front end of the new Veloster that will have a wide grill that is flanked by stylish and aggressive headlights that have LED daytime running lights for the look we’ll admire. The rear also offers a look that will be changed with a new set of taillights, a small roof spoiler, a dual center exhaust, and a new bumper. This rear area of the car appears to be the most dramatic area that’s been changed for the new Veloster that will be offered for us to have an excellent drive as it shows up for the 2019 model year.

What we haven’t seen

None of the teasers that we’ve seen offered by the Hyundai team for the Veloster have given us a look at the interior of this vehicle. With this most recent sketch release, we do have a look at what the designers have planned for the interior of this vehicle. This sketch gives us a look at a red and white scheme, a three-spoke steering wheel, and a sporty look throughout the car to give us an idea of what to expect when the car is offered in all its glory next week.

Another area we still haven’t seen or receive all the information for yet is the power that will come in under the hood. This car may have the same 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that’s in the current Veloster, but we also expect to see some upgraded power for this impressive car. That may come in the form of the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that is already offered in the new i30 N that’s found in foreign markets. As the model that’s supposed to be the first N model in the Hyundai lineup in the US and if this power plant is used, it will give us 271 ponies under the hood.

The new Veloster might continue to have the same odd, three-door build that we’ve come to admire and enjoy for the ride, but it’s an entirely new model that will give us more fun and sportiness than the current model offers us right now. This is one of the most exciting models that will be at the Detroit Auto Show and it allows us to prepare for the drive we’re going to want to make when we want a sports car that’s offered at an affordable price for the drive.
