An Electrifying Arrival from Hyundai

An Electrifying Arrival from Hyundai
Nearly every automaker is looking toward electric vehicles to try and make the one that will be as close to a typical gasoline vehicle for our driving needs. In addition to building a range of EV cars that can cut through the air and offer improved range from the full charge in the battery pack, at least one company is looking at offering more capability in an EV by creating an electric SUV that’s great for the drive we want to make while making use of nothing but the battery power found within to offer the propulsion needed.

In the teaser video below, you can see the new Hyundai Kona Electric that will make its way to the market in the near future. While this EV SUV isn’t being brought to the US right away, it is expected to eventually make its way across the ocean for us to enjoy. The first market this SUV will be shown off is in Europe where it will be offered on the market later this summer. Before being part of what can be bought and driven in Europe, the Kona EV will make an appearance at the Geneva Motor Show.

The Expected Qualities of the new Kona

As the popularity of compact SUVs has grown and these models have become smaller in size, it’s much easier for an automaker to offer us an EV model of an SUV that’s only a little larger than a traditional hatchback model. This makes the Hyundai Kona EV a perfect choice to be offered in Europe first where hatchbacks are extremely popular We will get a better look at what the Kona EV will be on February 27 ahead of the Geneva Motor Show to make sure we can learn as much as we want about this new EV SUV.
The expectation for this new Hyundai model is that it will be a versatile SUV that offers you a cavernous space to carry the load of gear and people you need to take with you. This is a vehicle that has the ability to give you the drive you want when you’re looking for the vehicle that can be great for a visit around your area as you gather a few items to bring back home. the Kona Electric is expected to give us up to 292 miles of range on a single charge.
Not only will we see a compact SUV that is able to offer us the range we want, Hyundai has announced the new Kona Electric will be offered with two different powertrains to choose from. This may be the first time that we see an EV that has a pair of different ways for the vehicle to offer the range and the power desired. This will be a vehicle we watch with interest because it will eventually be part of what we see in North America for the fun and active driving we want from an EV that can have the range we’re looking for.
