At the top of the large family full sized SUV market one vehicle reigns supreme. Many vehicles have attempted to challenge this vehicle for the top of the heap supremacy, but none have ever come close to what this vehicle has to offer. This vehicle is the Chevrolet Suburban and it’s still the largest SUV on the market for you to drive and enjoy. This is a big SUV that offers you the size and the equipment needed to give you the ride you want and the power you need to bring everything you can think of wherever you want to go.
When you have a beast this big you only get one engine under the hood to provide you with the massive power that you’ve been after. For the Suburban that power comes from the highly recognizable 5.3-liter V8 engine that shows up with 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is attached to a six-speed automatic transmission to give you the shifting you want. The powertrain can be set up with either 2WD or 4WD and comes with Active Cylinder Management which shuts down four of the cylinders when not needed. If you need to tow with the Suburban you can do so as this brute has the ability to haul up to 8,000 pounds in a trailer behind the rear of the vehicle.
When you have a vehicle this large you expect to find some excellent features aboard to give you what you want. At the LS trim, which is the base model, you’ll have cloth seats, automatic climate controls, rear parking sensors, the Chevrolet MyLink eight-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth streaming and the apps you want. Moving up to the LT trim you add the benefit of forward collision alert, lane departure warnings, a tilt and telescoping steering wheel and some additional features that aren’t offered on the LS. At the Premier level the standard items added include rear cross traffic alerts, blind spot alerts, an up-level audio system, heated and cooled seats, a programmable power liftgate, 20-inch wheels and several other items that come standard on this model.
When you look to the options you can have on the Suburban the list is generous. You can have the LS with a front bench seat and have space for nine people to fit inside. All trims can have the Driver Alert Package added to bring in low speed forward automatic braking, IntelliBeam automatic high beams, lane keep assist, the driver alert seat and power adjustable pedals. You can also add the Luxury Package to the LT and have many of the Premier features that you want. For the Premier you can add the Sun, Entertainment and Destination packages to have navigation, a Blu-ray rear seat entertainment and a power sunroof added to the vehicle.
When you’re looking for a big SUV to give you everything you want to enjoy the Suburban is a great choice. You’ll love the way this brute can haul the cargo and pull the trailer you need while also offering enough room for everyone to fit inside. There are many ways this SUV offers you what you want on the road to give you the ride quality and equipment you need.
For the 2017 version of the Suburban you have more features than ever and can enjoy the benefit of the Teen Driver system that’s been added. The LTZ trim is now called the Premier trim level and offers you items that make it feel more luxurious such as perforated leather seats and an upgraded MyLink system for you to enjoy the ride.
The Chevrolet Suburban is one of the longest running vehicles on the road and it’s been a standout among SUVs for many years. This is a large SUV that can give you everything you need and make sure you’ll have the right power and equipment to get the job done right. If you’re looking for a great SUV that will make a huge difference in your life, come see your local Chevrolet Dealer and check out the Suburban. This is still the top model when it comes to large SUVs and it will continue its overall dominance for several years to come.
