The Chevrolet Cruze had a Short First Generation

The Chevrolet Cruze began its existence in only 2011 and did not make it past the first couple of years before Chevrolet went to work revamping it and making a new model.  The first generation only made it five years and for 2016 we will see a brand new Chevrolet Cruze that offers a much different and upgraded look along with some of the most advanced features in the class to continue to be a great selling and fun to love car that has already proven it is highly successful as one a great sedan.

Previously the Cruze appeared to be an economy car but for 2016 it takes on a whole new design and looks more like a coupe with a sleek body and shape that has a continuous flow from the nose to the tail of the car.  The front shows up with a cleaner looking grill design, narrow headlights and a short rear deck along with some great lines that run the length of its body to give it a sportier look that is fully finished off by the subtle rear spoiler built into the rear deck lid of the trunk.

One of the most exciting aspects of the new Cruze is the fact there is now a turbocharged engine that is included in the lineup of the Cruze.  This engine is a 1.4-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine that carries in 153 horsepower and 177 lb.-ft. of torque.  Even though the turbo was an offering before it was an option where this new one is standard as the base engine and increases the horsepower by 15 while the torque is up by 29 lb.-ft.   There are two transmissions that can be attached, either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic to make for smooth shifting.

One the inside, to make this a car that you want to drive and don’t need extra gear to take it to work and back the Cruze has wireless phone charging, the next-generation Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system is aboard, smartphone access through the touchscreen which runs through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to give access to a variety of great apps that can be enjoyed.  The Cruze is also able to be equipped with the 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot through the OnStar system, making this a car that everyone can stay connected in and have a fantastic and fun ride to the next destination.

The new 2016 Chevrolet Cruze is meant to be a car that is great for anyone to enjoy driving.  It’s filled with connective features for the professional on the go, it has enough room for five to fit comfortably to make it a great family vehicle and it is stylish and fun to drive so you can be proud to own a car that looks as amazing as you feel when driving it.  This new Cruze will be available at dealerships as the next calendar year makes a turn and an all new diesel version is expected to be offered in 2017 to give us something else to talk about.
