Best 2015 Models to Buy Before the New Models Come Out

Car reviewers give us lots of lists of cars to work with to figure out what that new car will be that will spend nights in our driveway and days with us behind the wheel. As we get closer to the summer and fall, we come ever nearer the next model year of vehicles showing up on dealer lots for us to be amazed by, which only leaves us not even considering the models for 2015 that are still there and will offer some great discounts, financing and features to take advantage of and gain a great car at a fantastic price.

With these models still on the lot, what are the best cars from 2015 to purchase and why they are the best? With so many of the cars of today offering similar features such as large grills, quiet cabins and elongated rooflines it may be hard to distinguish between the best on the market. These ten each have a few similar traits and followed a specific set of rules such as costing less than $80,000 each, excel at offering value for the money, and have a strong presence in their particular segment to show up on this list of the ten best cars for 2015.

BMW M235i

Showing off with an engine that pushes out 320 horsepower and offers a throwback feeling, not too far back, but far enough, the M235i makes the list. Using a turbocharged engine helps to create the feeling of power while still offering some vestige of fuel efficiency, a major need these days, and with the eight-speed automatic on board this car can reach sixty mph in only 4.3 seconds, not bad at all for a small car that offers the price tag it does.

This car is actually a “tweener” car as it fits nicely between being a full-fledged M car and a day to day sports coupe. With the signature BMW driving ability the M235i is one of the most enjoyable cars from behind the wheel and the modern features that are aboard give you plenty to love about this small but exciting offering from BMW. Choosing the M235i shows a significant commitment to style, precision engineering, and enjoyable driving without having to pay the high price of the flagship models that prowl the higher echelons of the pricing market of BMW.

Cadillac CTS

With a loss of nearly 300 pounds over previous models, the CTS shows up with sharp handling and is easy to drive. The weight loss was not the only shifting of weight for the CTS, the battery was placed in the rear of the car to help with weight distribution and overall the current model creates a nearly perfect weight distribution. The weight loss was due to the heavy use of aluminum in the structure of the car which made it stiffer, stronger and easier to handle, taking the CTS past many of its targeted competition which happened to get a bit heavier.

Adding to the structure and balance the CTS uses electronically controlled magnethorhelogical (MR) dampers that help create the feeling of gliding over the road and handling any road imperfections, elevation changes, and turns with ease and balance. Subtlety was the recipe for success with the CTS having placed similar features for the car that others have aboard, but in a different configuration in order to create a car that gives more than enough power, a handling that is smooth and easy and a ride that is almost comfortable enough to lull you to sleep.

Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

Yes, you can have a Stingray for under $80,000 and the engine aboard this iconic beast is the perfect example of a pairing of today’s technology with the feeling of yesteryear. The LT1 V8 engine is capable of 460 horsepower has a 6.2-liter displacement and shows up with 465 lb.-ft. of torque. “So what?” you might say, there are plenty of cars on the road with higher power numbers than the Corvette, but none of them feel quite like the awesomeness that the ‘Vette has always brought to the table. This engine not only has the throwback feeling of the big V8, but also offers a cylinder management system to give you a 29 mpg highway rating, allowing you to enjoy the ride longer than ever before.

Add in the awesome aerodynamics of the body shape, the downforce brought with it, the superior handling and ability to be stuck to any surface and feel as if it can go vertical and the Corvette makes one of the greatest driving machines on the road today.  With all this performance aboard and a truly monstrous engine powering the beast, there is no reason for the Corvette to not be a clear choice as it will give you the ride you want and outrun many of those who boast larger power numbers with ease.

Ford Mustang GT

The Mustang for generations has been the sports car for the fun loving crowd who wanted to take friends and go cruising on a country road or show off in town. As one of the few sports cars with a real backseat it was a popular choice. Now the Mustang GT comes in with something brand new, a fully redesigned suspension system that makes the performance of this awesome car one that cannot be easily argued with.

The inclusion of an independent rear suspension was first chosen and then the front had to be redone, making for a great full suspension change to give the car amazing control and feel on the road. This change allows the Mustang to handle any and all changes in the road feel with not loss of control. When you get behind the wheel of the Mustang GT you now can push the car harder than ever knowing you will have the control needed from the suspension to stay planted on the road and have one of the best drives of your life.

Honda Accord

Why not buy an Accord? The Accord has been the symbol of reliability and longevity for many years allowing many drivers to fully enjoy a fantastic ride that is dynamic, enticing, and perfect as the daily driver. The Accord has been one of the top selling cars for a long time and there is little wonder why as it offers what families need. The roominess, capability and equipment of a 2015 model make for a choice that is great for the whole family especially the driver to take for daily errands or for driving across the country to see the sights.

For those of you who would like to have additional engagement from your car, the coupe makes an awesome choice as it shows off the sporty side of the Accord. This is another way the Accord makes a great choice for any driver. Rather than be another sedan driver that parks your car in the structure or parking lot of your workplace, you can have an exciting and alluring coupe that makes others jealous and gives you the fun and engaging drive of a coupe at the end of the workday to make it easy to explain why you might take the long way home from work.

Mazda 3

The Mazda 3 offers a uniqueness to the list that makes it easy for the driver to enjoy the ability to stay focused on the road ahead from the flip-up “active driving display” that is projected above the dashboard, making it easy for the driver to keep their eyes focused to the front on the road ahead. Along with this advancement, which would normally not be found in a small car, the Mazda 3 shows off with great style on the outside to look like a fun car to drive, which it certainly is.

The Mazda 3 shows up with an electrically assisted steering system that offers a direct response that mimics other setups and performs better than any other electric steering system on the market. The “zoom zoom” mantra from Mazda is present from the energetic engine through the transmission and suspension making this car enjoyable from behind the wheel. With a fully upgraded cabin and a great powertrain, the Mazda 3 is one of the best choices for an affordable family car you can make. Enjoy the drive and the price tag of this excellent offering from Mazda and thank me later for telling you about it.

Mazda 6

When you want an awesome family car to drive, the Mazda 6 makes a fantastic choice. With that statement you may yawn and say, “here we go again” with an roll of your eyes, but the Mazda 6 has shed over 200 pounds without the use of highly expensive carbon fiber which would change the overall affordability of this excellent car. Take a look at the front and you see an angry and menacing beast that is ready to roll, it just needs you behind the wheel to get going.

The new design by Mazda, called the “Kodo” design gives many in the lineup a muscular beauty of an animal ready to pounce and the Mazda 6 is no exception to that ideal. Once inside the spacious cabin offers you soft, supportive seating and all the geeky gadgetry you could desire along with a driving pleasure that may have you thinking you need to change your address to “1 Mazda 6 Way”. Yes, this is a family car and is at the top of the midsized sedan segment, but it is one of the most compelling cars to come on the market in years and offers a driving excitement you won’t get from other manufacturers.

Porsche Boxster/Cayman

Even though these cars seem like they should have a much higher base price tag than the limits placed on this list they don’t. That makes them perfect choices on this list and a great way to get the absolutely best driving experience possible from a car manufacturer that has offered a singular awesome driving experience for many years. These two offerings from Porsche are mid-engine power hungry beasts that make the most out of their powertrains.

Because this pair of Porsche offerings are able to make it under the ceiling of prices for this list they both make awesome daily drivers for the commute to and from work and of course a few detours along the way that make it simple to let the amazing features of these cars do their thing and show off on the roads that offer the most twist, turns and elevation changes in your area. Buying a Boxster or Cayman does not show pretention, just good old fashioned sensibility to buy a truly fun car without heading to the stratosphere of pricing to get it.

Tesla Model S 60

As a luxury sedan that offers fully electric power, the Tesla Model S 60 offers an amazing performance and power from the battery on through the steering and suspension. Instead of placing the batter in the trunk and adding weight to the rear of the car, the batter acts as the floor pan of the car and puts the massive weight low to the ground making it easy to create a soft and supple ride with the lowest center of gravity on the market. With no backup from a gas powered engine, Tesla has created a larger cell and more powerful battery than anyone else.

As a luxury sedan, the S 60 offers a great deal of features in the car that will allow you to fully enjoy your ride without compromising and performance or feature you may need. With a smooth and enticing look overall and the knowledge you are helping the environment by using renewable energy to power the car, how can you say “no” to the Tesla Model S60 which is made to be the best in its class. In reality, this car is in a class all by itself, while others may try, the Model S doesn’t have any real competition.

Volkswagen Golf/GTI

Now in its seventh generation the Golf shows up with a wide range of features and has become one of the most popular cars on the road today. The Golf GTI continues to show up as one of the best cars of the year because of the ease of driving engagement making the Golf one of the most active driving cars on the market and the versatility of the Golf makes it one of the most useful cars on the market today.

The Golf offers engines that may not turn any heads when it comes to horsepower numbers, but with their great torque ratings at lower rpms it’s easy to become a lover of driving the Golf along any road. Better than a cult following, the Golf continues to offer us some awesome features that allow the car to be one of the most engaging driving machines on the road. With a style that is attractive to a large audience and an amazing list of features that partner with a price that makes it affordable, the Golf is certainly poised to continue to be one of the best cars on the road for many years.
