Aston Martin, the iconic British sports car brand, has teamed up with EON Productions, the studio behind the iconic British film series, James Bond. This partnership has resulted in the birth of a limited-edition sports car known as the DB10 that was designed specifically for Spectre, the newest edition to the James Bond series, according to The Los Angeles Times.
The British automaker’s latest coup is roughly the same size as the V8 Vantage, but as Left Lane News notes, it stands out from the company’s current models due to an evolutionary new design that’s characterized by sharper and thinner headlights, a bigger rendering of the Aston Martin’s trademarked radiator grille, and a slightly lower nose.
“In the same year that we celebrate our 50-year relationship with 007, it seems doubly fitting that today we unveiled this wonderful new sports car created especially for James Bond,” said Andy Palmer, CEO of Aston Martin, on the company’s website. “To be partnering once again with EON Productions is great news for this company and for everyone around the world that loves to see Bond at the wheel of an Aston Martin.”
Unfortunately, Business Insider reminds us that the DB10 isn’t currently slated for a customer production run, meaning that the ten vehicles that are being used for the new movie could be the only ones ever to be produced, although it’s very likely that some of them will be destroyed in production during stunt filming.
