Indian Motorcycle is resurrecting the Roadmaster
Polaris has had a very busy summer. The company is releasing a new, three-wheeled gunner under its own brand name called the Slingshot, and its Victory Motorcycle division is also expected to launch something shortly. To top it all off, its Indian Motorcycle bran dis rolling out a new luxury tourer called the Roadmaster.
The Roadmaster is named after a popular Indian Motorcycle bike that was made from 1947 to 1953. While Indian did produce a Roadmaster redux back in 2010, this new motorcycle is something else entirely. Indian Motorcycle is calling the Roadmaster “the ultimate in luxury motorcycle touring”, and it intends quell any doubts you might have that it doesn’t fit that description.
The Roadmaster has been loaded up with “proven power and endless chrome,” as well as a long list of additional features such as: LED lighting, keyless ignition with remote saddlebag and trunk locks, a power adjustable windscreen, heated grips with ten settings, adjustable passenger floorboards, and almost 38 gallons of weatherproof storage start things off.
The motorcycle will come equipped with the company’s Thunder Stroke 111 engine, a 111-cubic-inch V-twin with 119 pound-feet of torque and 73 horsepower. The Roadmaster will be coming to dealerships later this year for $26,999, and will come in three colors: Indian Motorcycle Red, and two-tone Indian Motorcycle Red and Ivory Cream.
