This isn’t just a beautiful limited production collaboration between Toyota and Yamaha in Japan in 1967 and 1970. It was a representation, almost a warning, to the rest of the world to let them know that Japan was getting serious about building cars and that it would be a force with which to be reckoned. While the car itself didn’t see many garages, the resulting rise of Toyota on their way to worldwide expansion would eventually take the world by storm.
