The Nissan LEAF Becomes More Attractive

01.04.16 - 2016 Nissan LEAF

Are you ready to go EV? The Nissan LEAF is the most popular EV model that has ever been created. For the past few years this car has been at the top of the game when it comes to having only electric power to be enjoyed, offering an alternate fuel source that is different from what we are used to from gasoline powered engines. The charging of the LEAF is easy enough to do at home, but is also offered in several locations that make charging up your LEAF an easy to do process in many ways.

Currently the deal you get for the Nissan LEAF is one that will save you even more money than you might expect. When you buy the LEAF you get to enjoy two years of complimentary charging at the many public charging stations which will be located by using the EZ-Charge website or mobile app to ensure you can find the charging stations you need. Previously this charging was available in 23 different cities, but a recent announcement has expanded this program to three more cities to make this an even easier to use program and opens these locations up to purchases of the LEAF to allow you to enjoy this excellent program.

When you purchase the LEAF, as a new owner you receive an EZ-Charge card that offers access to chargers with ChargePoint, Blink Network from Car Charging Group, AeroVironment and NRG eVgo systems. This means you will go a full two years before you ever have to pay for the fuel you put in your new LEAF as long as you are near these different types of charging stations to make use of the features that are offered by them.

Wouldn’t you be more inclined to purchase an EV if it came with the free charging of the LEAF? It seems that question has already been answered as more EV buyers chose the LEAF than any other on the market. The three cities that have been added to the list include New York, Philadelphia and Santa Barbara. Imagine the increased population of these three locations to the list and you can see an expanded market for this already highly popular EV model.

Of course if you don’t live in these three areas you might want to be able to purchase a LEAF for yourself and be able to take advantage of this amazing program. The other markets that offer the free charging include San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, Fresno, Seattle, Portland, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, Indianapolis, Nashville, Phoenix, Denver, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Boston, Monterey, Atlanta, Raleigh-Durham, Salt Lake City and Minneapolis-St. Paul. This extended market gives the LEAF a wide reach and a car that is made to be what it really is, an awesome city car that can fit just about anywhere for parking and weave in and out of traffic with ease. One item to note is the number of California cities which shows the direction this state is going toward offering all vehicles sold in the state as zero emissions vehicles.
